Blackberry Sandia Margarita

Blackberry Sandia Margarita

Happy Cinco de Mayo friends!! If there is one thing I am SURE I am an expert on it’s tequila! Haha! In honor of Cinco de Mayo I thought I’d share one of my new favorite tequila cocktails. This cocktail is actually the combination of two margaritas: a Sandia Margarita and a Blackberry Margarita. You can make a Sandia and Blackberry Margarita separately or combine them following the directions below to create a tasty Blackberry Sandia Margarita! Trust me, it’s a good one!!!

INGREDIENTS:

Sandia Margarita:

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz Patron Citronge (I used the lime flavor)
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 2 oz fresh pressed watermelon juice
  • 1/2 oz Light Agave Nectar

Combine all ingredients into a shaker and pour over ice.

Blackberry Margarita:

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz Patron Citronge (I used the lime flavor)
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 5 muddled blackberries
  • 1 oz Homemade Sweet & Sour (equal parts fresh squeezed lime juice, lemon juice, and oranges)
  • 1/2 oz Light Agave Nectar

Combine all ingredients into a shaker and pour over ice. For the best taste and less sugar I use the juice of fresh fruit for the watermelon, limes, lemons, and oranges.

BLACKBERRY SANDIA MARGARITA DIRECTIONS:

To create the Blackberry Sandia Margarita we’ll take ingredients from each of the cocktails above and combine!

To Make Bottom Layer:

  • Muddle blackberries in glass
  • Add lime juice
  • Add Patron Citronge
  • Add Homemade Sweet & Sour
  • Add Light Agave Nectar

Combine ingredients, shake, and pour over muddled blackberries in your glass

To Make Top Layer:

  • Add tequila
  • Add watermelon juice
  • Add lime juice
  • Add Light Agave Nectar

Combine ingredients, shake, and pour over bottom layer of drink. Serves 2!

Enjoy!

Xoxo,

Bri
